We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you in La Rioja! To make your trip and the wedding as smooth as possible, we’ve put together a list of practical details and common questions. Here you’ll find everything from travel tips and dress code, to where to stay and what to expect on the day itself.
If there’s anything we haven’t covered, don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re happy to help.
How do I RSVP?
It’s very important for us that you RSVP using the link on this website (also found in the menu on the top right). Through the form you’ll be able to confirm your attendance and share everything we need to know in advance, such as dietary requirements, travel details, or any other helpful information.
Please make sure to RSVP by 19 June 2026 so we can finalise all arrangements.
When and where is the wedding?
The wedding will take place on 19 September 2026 at Iglesia Santiago el Real, in Logroño, Spain. The ceremony starts at 12:00, but it is advised to arrive 20-30 minutes ahead of time.
Check out the full schedule of the wedding day here
What is the dress code?
We’d love for everyone to dress elegantly. Keep in mind the season, as it is September, it may still be warm, and we’ll be outdoors for part of the day. Bring something warmer for the evening breeze.
How do I get to the venue?
We will provide bus transportation between the church and the venue following the ceremony. We will also provide bus transportation in the night following the party back (please indicate in the RVSP if you'd like to make use of the bus). The venue called Bodegas del Marqués de Vargas is located at Carr. Zaragoza, 26006 Logroño, La Rioja. You can get there by car and taxi. Parking is available on site.
Are my children welcome?
We’re delighted to celebrate with some of the little ones who are especially close to us. If your children are invited, you’ll see their names on your invitation.
Can I bring a plus one?
Please check your invitation for the number of seats reserved in your name. If you are unsure, feel free to contact us.
Where should I stay?
We’ve gathered our hotel recommendations and travel tips on the Travel page. Have a look there for suggestions and practical details.
What about gifts?
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift we could ask for. We know many of you will be travelling to celebrate with us, and we already feel so grateful for that effort.
If you would still like to give us something, we would be most thankful for contributions towards our honeymoon or future plans together. You can do so at the wedding itself or, if easier, in advance via bank transfer:
IBAN: BE73377134434660
Mrs Sofia Garrido Perez and Mr Roman Kok
Will food and drinks be provided?
Yes! You’ll have nothing to worry about. There will be plenty of food and drinks throughout the day. From the cocktail hour to dinner and late-night bites, we’ll make sure no one goes hungry or thirsty.
I have dietary restrictions, will there be options?
No one will go hungry in Rioja! We’ll have a cocktail with plenty of different tapas to choose from, a set lunch menu showcasing regional flavours, and late-night snacks to keep the dancing going. There will be lots of variety for everyone.
If you have very specific and strict dietary restrictions and/or allergies (such as coeliac disease or others), just let us know when you RSVP so we can make sure you’re taken care of.
What’s the weather like?
September is harvest season in La Rioja, and the weather is often at its best — sunny days around 24°C and cooler nights. It’s perfect wine-tasting weather, but do bring something warmer for the evening breeze.
What can I do before or after the wedding?
La Rioja is one of Spain’s most beautiful regions, famous for its wine and food. Have a look at our Discover Rioja page for tips on things to do while you’re here.
What else is happening in town?
The day after our wedding, Logroño kicks off the San Mateo harvest festival! Expect parades, concerts, and lots of wine in the streets. Check out more info here.
